After the King stage of Monte Rosa Tour, Jim Österman keeps the lead, but now with a scant seven seconds ahead of favourite Pietrzyk.
"Yes, we had a bit of an accident on the last descent," Österman reports, "Sven-Olof Blad went down right in front of me and there was nothing I could do. Thankfully, I escaped with some bruises, but Blad wasn't as lucky. I think they said he broke his collar-bone? Anyway, I had to change my bike, and then the chase begun."
He continues, "I got back to the favourites group about half way up Monte Rosa, but the chase really took it out of me, and when the attacks started, I couldn't follow. I'm glad I managed sixth place. the guys did an amazing job after the crash, especially Jönsson and Fallander, and I wish Blad a speedy recovery."
When asked about Östermans chances to keep the jersey, manager Christer B says "He has every chance, it will be tough for sure, but if the crash yesterday doesn't affect him, I believe he will make it."

Congrats! :P
Sad to hear about your team mate. I can't see me making 7 seconds back though. Good tour!
